In this role, you will work closely with the supervisor, dispatcher, and lead driver to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of freight to customers throughout the Anchorage area. Following a scheduled delivery route, you will be responsible for accurately scanning and verifying pallets while providing all necessary documentation to customers. A strong commitment to professionalism and attention to detail is essential in maintaining excellent customer service. By working closely with our clients from the planning phase onward, we are able to supply the most cost-effective methods that meet their logistics needs.\nThrough this drive to bring solutions to our clients, we have grown from an agency-only service provider to a full scale international 3-PL providing our own courier routes, trucking, warehousing, freight sortation and management, labor, oil & gas project assistance, and consulting.\nNow, 30+ years after we began, we have more than 300 employees working across Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, Washington, Nevada, Texas, Georgia, and Florida around the clock to provide our signature custom service to hundreds of long-standing clients.\nPay Range:\n$31.25 per hour\nBenefits:\n401(k)\nLife insurance\nEmployee Assistance Program\nHealth insurance\nVision Insurance\nDisability insurance\nDental insurance\nPaid time off\nVoluntary Accident insurance\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDrive a delivery truck on a predetermined route and schedule\nLoad and unload vehicle as necessary, driver may use pallet jacks, dollies, carts, etc.\nDeliver items as instructed with exceptional accuracy, recording all delivery information virtually and physically, on provided paperwork\nCommunicate with other drivers, dispatch and customers and provide updates as needed\nCollaborate and interact with others in a positive and effective manner\nMaintain vehicle cleanliness and a professional appearance\nDocument and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel receipts\nFollow DOT, local, state, and federal regulations as well company policies and procedures\nReport safety, security, and theft incidents\nEnsure compliance with customer information and security requirements\nDemonstrate internal and external customer service\nAdhere to customer and management's expectations\nTravel to subsidiary offices and other locations as needed\nOther warehouse or driving duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nAt least 21 years of age with a valid Class A commercial driver's license\nClean driving record\nMinimum one year tractor & trailer driving experience\nMust be reliable and flexible with schedule\nAble to work independently, through frequent sitting and standing, and lift up to 50lbs\nMust pass a background check and drug and alcohol screening\nMust have the ability to work in a fast paced and always changing environment\nMust be friendly and helpful with a professional disposition\nLegal status to work in the United States\nAble to speak conversational English\nPhysical Requirements:\nFrequent sitting for prolonged periods of time, stepping in and out of tractor cabs, hand-eye coordination, and good vision.
